Lisa Marie Mejia is a writer, a filmmaker, a film fan.
She got her start in entertainment journalism as a writer/Film Section editor for the online magazine, Austin Fusion Magazine. She thrives on finding the passion behind all entertainment pieces, finding the details that make them unique and powerful. These are not your basic entertainment journalist posts, and they will take a deeper look into these projects and their creators.
It is important to remember that this is just one person's opinion, and should not influence a general response, instead they should start a conversation.
In 2016, LMM started her 100 FIlms project. Her goal was to watch 100 films she’s never seen each year, expanding her knowledge and enjoyment of film.
Above it all, these writings will be taken from a place of a Film Fan and Filmmaker.
LMM is also an Alternative Media Specialist, a braille transcriber for public education. An AMS translates classroom materials, worksheets and graphics, into braille for visually impaired. She strives to translate a visual world into a tactile symbols for her students.
Writing is not her only mode of creative expression. She is also the mastermind behind Red Pony Designs. Here, LMM creates her pieces, crochet-jewelry-crafts, with love and passion. For more information on her products, please go to the Red Pony Designs page.
